CHARMAINE BLACK!

Congratulations Charmaine, for having your name pulled out of a Tupperware container, in my first ever Blog Candy give-away.

We are babysitting another child tonight – so I had him pull a name out. It was pitch-black in the loungeroom, so he couldn’t see whose name he was pulling out.

I laughed to myself about Charmaine winning, because I won her Blog Candy late last year or early this year (can’t remember).

This is another very unique style of card – which was shown on ESAD Yahoo Group by Andrea. Check out her beautiful Side Step Cards – they are GORGEOUS.

I have so many Birthdays in June (not mine anyway) to make cards for, it’s unbelieveable – so far I’ve made 5 & this is my 6th.

The stamp sets are retired, but I still love them. I’ll make another card using a current stamp set soon.

Hope the BIRTHDAY GIRL loves this card, as much as I enjoyed making it JUST FOR HER!

I first saw this card on Splitcoaststampers & thought “WOW! What a great & different style of card”. Then the Lovely Leonie showed us her beautiful card on a Yahoo Group which I belong to – I knew then, I had to try it.

So I did!

This card is going off to yet another Birthday Girl (busy month for birthdays) - actually it has already been sent. Hope she likes it!

I CAN PLAY TENNIS AGAIN!

It’s been almost 4 months since my DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) scare. Today I visited my Treating Doctor & received some FANTASTIC news.

Roll On Wednesday & Please No Rain!

I play social tennis with a bunch of LOVELY ladies – afterwards we usely hit the local cafe for a coffee n chat. I haven’t even held a tennis racquet since December 2008 & miss it dreadfully.

That was my No. 1 Question & a very important one too.

Apart from that – my Blood Clot has gone, but I still need to be on Warfarin for at least the next 2 years – which includes regular blood tests (which I can handle).

I’m one VERY HAPPY CHICKY today!

I found the instructions for this unique card on Splitcoast Stampers – somewhere. But I also found a video tutorial on YouTube - here  . If you can put up with the lady coughing in the video, it is a very easy card to learn.

I’m not telling who The Birthday Girl is – she is a regular visitor of my Blog & I don’t want to spoil the surprize.

The right side of the card is hidden by cardstock, as it has the name of the Birthday Girl written on it.
