Little Boxes on the Hillside

I remember singing this song, when I was in Grade 2 – way back in 1973. It was a song that STUCK in my mind, like forever!

“Little Boxes on the hillside

Little Boxes made of ticky-tacky

Little Boxes, Little Boxes, Little Boxes all the same

There’s a blue one & a green one & a pink one & a yellow one, and

They’re all made out of ticky-tacky, and

They all look just the same”

There more to the song, but that’s all I remember. lol!

I was requested by a good customer of mine, to find out how to make these gorgeous Fantasy Stepper Boxes.

I knew exactly what she meant – but I couldn’t find the instructions, as I didn’t know the name – so I asked my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends for their assistance – they knew exactly what I was after – it’s amazing they understood what I wanted by how I described it. Amazing ladies, these Stampin’ Up! Demosntrators are! lol!

Below are two creations – the first one was my very first attempt – I am really pleased at how well it turned out.

Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White

Other: Kiwi Kiss DSP, Rub-Ons – Bright Delights, Flower Fusion Too &  Rhinestone Brad

This one I added Rhinestone Brads to the boxes – to make them look like draws.

Cardstock: Baja Breeze

Other: Urban Oasis DSP, Rhinestone Brads, Black Grosgraine Ribbon, Velcro Dot & Flower Fusion Too
