I couldn’t resist taking a photo of my beautiful dog Josie. She is 2 years old now, but still just as beautiful when we first got her, almost 2 years ago.
Here she is asleep – wonder what she is dreaming about? She looks as snug,as a bug in a rug!
She is a Spanador – cross between a Cocker Spaniel & a Labrador.
Sweet Dreams Josie!
Ssssh! Thanks for visiting! Sssssh!

How time flies when you’re having fun! She has given us much JOY over the past year – watching her GROW, her MANNERISM, her beautiful BIG brown eyes, her PLAYFULNESS, her UNIQUE noises, her howling at night, her “eating everything to shreds”, her naughtiness, her SLOPPY licks, her CUDDLES, her JUMPING, but most of all her LOVE.
No, I’m not talking about my human daughter – coz I don’t have one. I’m talking about our beautiful Spanador!
She must have been about 11 weeks in the above photo.
Look at her now…
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY JOSIE!
Not sure if she liked wearing the Party Hat, but she looked very cute. She also enjoyed a couple of new toys, we sang Happy Birthday to her & she had a tiny bit of Chocolate Mud Cake, which she scoffed down in no time.
It’s been almost 4 months since my DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) scare. Today I visited my Treating Doctor & received some FANTASTIC news.
I CAN PLAY TENNIS AGAIN!
Roll On Wednesday & Please No Rain!
I play social tennis with a bunch of LOVELY ladies – afterwards we usely hit the local cafe for a coffee n chat. I haven’t even held a tennis racquet since December 2008 & miss it dreadfully.
That was my No. 1 Question & a very important one too.
Apart from that – my Blood Clot has gone, but I still need to be on Warfarin for at least the next 2 years – which includes regular blood tests (which I can handle).
I’m one VERY HAPPY CHICKY today!
Enjoy your weekend!
Wishing All Mothers (young & the more experienced) a very Happy & Enjoyable Mother’s Day.
My day has so far consisted of, eggs, bacon & muffins for breakfast – yummy Immune juice on the side, a lovely bunch of flowers & a delicious box of chocolates.
My youngest son – made me a card (not stamped) – along with $10 to spend however I wish. His writing inside the card consisted of words like this:
“I have loved you with all my heart for my whole entire life even when we have dissagreements.
I love you Mum and thats never gonna stop!
Words don’t describe how much you mean to me.”
I asked him, if he had copied those words from somewhere & he said he hadn’t. So it makes this little hand-made card even more Special.
Since I don’t have my Mother around to celebrate this Special Day, I have decided to make all the Mum’s at football today a little card. I personally don’t know alot of these Mums, who knows if they’re in the same situation as me – without their Mum to celebrate this beautiful day. Just a little token to say “you’re doing a great job, as a Mum”.
I’ll upload the cards later on, when I’ve finished them. I’ve completed 18, just need to do another 18 maybe.
Edited to add Mother’s Day cards:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Stamp Set: Always
Inks: Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose & Ruby Red
Other: Earth Element Buttons (retired) & mini Glue Dots
The Cards were very well received – I just added “Happy Mother’s Day” to the inside of the card (hand written). They had the choice of keeping the card themselves or giving it to their Mother or Mother in law. I even had 2 Mums asking about classes – wanting to learn more about stamping. Woohoo!
However you spend your day – ENJOY IT!
