Sesame Street for a Birthday Boy!

I’ve seen this card many times on my travels around the wonderful world of Blogs.

My downline – Melissa – was preparing for her son’s 3rd birthday, when she told me about the cupcakes she was making & putting Sesame Street characters on top of each cupcakes. I had a “Light Bulb moment” & knew the right card to make for Master 3.

It was a huge hit – Master 3 was a very happy chappy & loved opening & closing Big Bird’s beak.

Characters in case you don’t know or have forgotten – Top  Left: Cookie Monster – Top Right: Elmo – Bottom Left: Big Bird – Bottom Right – Oscar the Grouch!

Cardstock: Only Orange, Basic Black, Yoyo Yellow, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Green Galore, Whisper White & Old Olve.

Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes

Ink: Basic Black

Other: Scallop Circle Punch, Various Circle Punches, Oval Punch & Hole Punch (non-SU!)

Brings back alot of memories from my childhood – loved those characters, especially Big Bird.

Tri Shutter Card

I first saw this card on Splitcoaststampers & thought “WOW! What a great & different style of card”. Then the Lovely Leonie showed us her beautiful card on a Yahoo Group which I belong to – I knew then, I had to try it.

So I did!

This card is going off to yet another Birthday Girl (busy month for birthdays) – actually it has already been sent. Hope she likes it!

Cardstock: Very Vanilla

Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes

Diamond Fold Card for The Birthday Girl!

I found the instructions for this unique card on Splitcoast Stampers – somewhere. But I also found a video tutorial on YouTube – here  . If you can put up with the lady coughing in the video, it is a very easy card to learn.

I’m not telling who The Birthday Girl is – she is a regular visitor of my Blog & I don’t want to spoil the surprize.

The right side of the card is hidden by cardstock, as it has the name of the Birthday Girl written on it.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla & Bella Bleu DSP

Stamp Set: Crazy For Cupcakes

Ink: Basic Black & Regal Rose

Other: Chunky Glitter & Stampin’ Write Markers
